My Favorite Riding Clothes
Here they are, my favorite riding clothes!
#1 Favorite-Joules polos and pullovers-price=about $55-$85
I have a selection of Joules clothing including polo shirts, pullovers and rugby shirts. Joules is a British line which is not widely available in America although some tack stores carry a small selection. The clothes are colorful, casual, detailed but not ornate. They are designed to be countryside chic. Riders and non-riders alike will love the classy Beaufort and Ellie Polo.

#2 Favorite-Dublin River Boots-price=about $179
I already mentioned in my boot article how much I love these Nubuck sensations. Wear them to much stalls or with a jean skirt and your Joules polo. Man, will you be cute! These boots are light and comfortable, sort of like Uggs, but they wash clean with a hose and are totally waterproof. I'm in!
#3 Kerrits Sit Tight Breeches
Kerrits is a rider apparel company that also has a history of designing ladies sportswear and swimsuits. They apply their background with technical fabrics better than most companies. They use lots of synthetic materials and use them well. The knee patches on the Sit tight breech will really stick you to the saddle flap. They also make a fleece lined version of the sit tight breech (sit tight n warm) which I live in during the Maine winters. Kerrits is also a standout company because they really work hard to tailor their breeches in a way that is flattering to the female body. They also have the modern rider in mind with a riding breech with a boot cut shape that makes them a lot more socially acceptable to wear to the grocery store after the barn than a traditional fit breech!
#4 Ariat Insulated Paddock Boots
Ariat makes several different models of insulated winter paddock boots. Perhaps there is no piece of gear out there that will improve the winter riding experience more. These boots will keep your toes toasty warm while fitting under your favorite half chaps.
